Our Friday Learning Lab is a dynamic, full-day experience filled with academic enrichment and socialization opportunities! Students enjoy a series of hands-on lab-style classes, including STEM/Science Lab, Creative Writing, Math Lab, and Cultural Explorations, while also benefitting from social interactions, friendship-building, outdoor play, and more!

Our Friday Labs program is hosted at our EdVentures location in west Roswell (near Leita Thompson Park) as this space offers opportunities for cooking, outdoor play, and more!

Description
MIDDLE SCHOOL MATH-UP
Our Middle School Math Math-Up is designed to extend mathematical concepts in a fun and hands-on approach that helps build math facts & fluency while also applying mathematical concepts through practical application and project-based learning. Students will work their way through a variety of concept units including fractions, decimals, rates and ratios, geometry, measurement, rational numbers, coordinate planes, and more!
FULL STEAM AHEAD
This class takes scientific learning full STEAM ahead! Students engage in unit-based exploration across all a variety of areas of scientific study, including life sciences, physical science, earth science, botany, anatomy and physiology, zoology, etc. Students LOVE our hands-on labs, STEM challenges, and project-based learning opportunities!
Creative Writing
Unlock your creativity in this dynamic creative writing class, where you'll explore a variety of storytelling forms, including fiction, poetry, screenwriting, and genre writing such as fantasy, sci-fi, and mystery. Through engaging workshops, imaginative prompts, and constructive feedback, you'll develop your unique voice while honing essential writing skills. This class provides a supportive space to unleash your imagination and bring your stories to life.
Cultural Explorations
Discover the richness of global cultures through history, art, games, traditions, cooking, and more. This interactive class brings the cultures of our Middle School World Cultures class to life! Through hands-on activities, creative projects, and engaging discussions, students gain a deeper understanding of our world’s diverse heritage.
Ample Breaks & Socialization
Our program is designed to foster a sense of community through socialization and friendship building opportunities. As such, we provide students ample breaks and an extended lunch to enjoy time in our green space, playing games in the community room, etc.
Field Trips
We offer family field trips on Fridays approximately 5 times per year. There are no programs offered on field trips days. Field trips range from museums to bowling alleys and everything in between!
