Jr. High 8th / 9th
Our unique Junior High program provides 8th and 9th grade students with an engaging learning environment where they can collaborate with peers who are both chronologically, developmentally, and academically aligned. The Support Model offers academic scaling to meet individual learning needs across all subjects, while the Aspire Track provides a springboard for gaining academic momentum and taking classes that both challenge and excite. Through a combination of interactive instruction, independent work, and hands-on projects, students build critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, our program fosters social development and leadership opportunities, helping students transition smoothly into higher academic levels with confidence. Breaks and built-in social time allow students to recover from directed-attention fatigue and also boosts a sense of connectedness and community as students enjoy time together! Friday electives provide a platform for students in all models and tracks to earn elective credits and/or enjoy a selection of

Academic Programming
With our specialized focus on individualized education, we carefully group students into academically aligned learning cohorts for core subjects. Placement is determined by evaluating pacing, stamina, and the need for either support or challenge, ensuring a successful and engaging experience for all. This thoughtful approach boosts confidence and fosters a dynamic, synergistic learning environment. Students who can maintain academic stamina and can work independently through most subjects are encouraged to participate in the Aspire Track. Students who require a slower, more individually paced environment, or who struggle with organization or independence, will thrive in our Support Model.
Earning High School Credits
With the exception of math, all of our courses are presented in a 2-year cycle where students take courses in the order they are presented by the program.
Aspire Track: All 9th grade courses presented in our Aspire Track are carefully selected to qualify for both TCSF and USG requirements when taken for credit as an 8th or 9th grader. Students taking courses for high school credit will be required to complete additional assignments to ensure they meet Carnegie Unit requirements. All core courses offer two levels of rigor, standard and honors, allowing students to scale their work load and home study experience. Unless otherwise requested, coursework in the Aspire Track will be graded and will contribute to their overall GPA.
Support Model: Students in our supportive education program have the flexibility to engage in modified, standard, or advanced coursework, tailored to their individual strengths and goals. Students may choose to have assignments teacher-reviewed without a grade for feedback and skill development OR opt for graded coursework that contributes to their transcript, allowing for a personalized academic experience that meets their unique needs.
While homeschoolers are not bound to state regulations, students desiring a comparable transcript to public peers should follow the GADOE standards for graduation, including 4 units of English, 4 units of math, 4 units of science, and 3 units of Social Sciences, plus 2 units of languages OR computer sciences OR ASL. Students must also take 6 elective credits for a total of 23 credits in all.

TCSG = Technical College System of Georgia; USG = University System of Georgia
College-bound students have additional stipulations to follow regarding specific course selection. It is important to follow RHSC guidelines for TCSG/USG requirements to ensure your students earns all necessary credits to gain eligibility for admissions to their college of choice.
